Gutter repair for sagging, leaking and loose gutters
Most gutter problems come down to loose hangers, a bad slope or a leaking seam. We fix them with 7-inch screws and fresh sealant, often on the same visit as your cleaning.
Signs your gutters need repair
- Water spills over the front edge during rain, even right after a cleaning.
- A gutter sags, or there's a gap between the gutter and the house.
- Drips at seams and corners, or rust stains below them.
- Water pools in the gutter instead of running to the downspout.
- Peeling paint or soft wood on the fascia board behind the gutter.
- A downspout that's loose, crushed or disconnected.
Overflow isn't always a clog. When a gutter pulls away from the fascia, rain can spill straight down onto windows and walkways. We figure out which problem you have before quoting a fix.

Resecure or repitch?
A resecure reattaches a gutter that has pulled away from your house. We drive 7-inch screws through the gutter into the wood behind it. Screws hold far better than the spikes and nails many older gutters were hung with, which work loose over time.
A repitch resets the slope so water runs to the downspout. Gutters that hold standing water or overflow at one end usually need a repitch.
Repairs we find during a cleaning
Every cleaning includes a full inspection. When we find a leaking seam, a loose section or a cracked vent boot, you get photos and an estimate. Many small fixes are done the same day.
Gutter repair questions
Can you fix my gutters on the same visit?
Often, yes. Small repairs like a leaking seam or a loose section are often handled during the visit where we find them. You get photos of the problem and an estimate for the fix.
Should I repair or replace my gutters?
If one or two sections are the problem, repair. If most of the run sags, leaks at every seam, is rusting through, or overflows in every heavy rain because it is undersized, new gutters usually make more sense. We'll tell you which, honestly. See new gutter pricing.
Why does water pour over my gutter when it isn't clogged?
The gutter has usually pulled away from the house or lost its slope, so water runs to the wrong end or spills out the front. A resecure or repitch fixes it, and it's one of the most common things we find.
Do you repair fascia and soffits?
Yes. Rotted fascia behind a gutter is common after years of overflow. Fascia, soffit and siding repairs are priced after we see them, so call for a quote.
