Gutter guards fastened with stainless steel screws

We install E-Z Gutter Guards: powder-coated aluminum covers screwed to your gutters. $12 per foot installed, and we clean your gutters free while we're up there.

How our gutter guards work

The guards we install are perforated aluminum: thousands of small holes let rainwater drop straight into the gutter while leaves and needles stay on top, where air dries them and wind blows them off.

  • Fastened with stainless steel screws. Many guards simply pop into place. Ours are screwed down so they stay put through storms.
  • Powder-coated aluminum. It holds up to Georgia sun, heat and storms better than many products on the market.
  • A free cleaning first. We clean your gutters at no charge before every guard installation.

Do gutter guards really work?

Yes, with honest limits. Guards keep big debris out, cut the number of cleanings you need, and protect downspouts and buried pipes from clogs. They don't make gutters maintenance-free. Some debris collects on top, fine grit and pollen slip through, and heavy storms can push leaves in. Plan on a periodic inspection and cover cleaning, less often than you'd clean open gutters. Read our full answer.

Guards and underground drainage

If your downspouts run into buried pipes, guards matter even more. Debris that gets into a gutter washes into the pipe, and a blocked pipe backs water up against your foundation. That can mean flooding, structural damage and repairs that cost thousands.

For those homes we also install the Leaf Eater Advanced rain head from Blue Mountain Co. It's a screened collector that sits in the downspout, catches leaves and twigs, and uses the rain to flush them away so far less reaches the pipe.

Gutter guard questions

How much do gutter guards cost?

We install gutter guards for $12 per foot. A home with 150 feet of gutter would be $1,800. We clean your gutters free during the installation.

Do I still need gutter cleanings with guards?

Yes. Gutter covers cut down how often you need a cleaning and keep big debris out, but they don't end maintenance. Leaves and needles sit on top, fine grit works through, and storms push debris in. A periodic cleaning keeps covered gutters flowing.

Do gutter guards help with pine needles?

They keep most needles out of the trough and off your downspouts, which is where clogs do the most damage. Needles still collect on top of any guard, so homes under heavy pines should plan on a periodic cover cleaning.

Will guards protect my underground drains?

Yes, and that's one of the best reasons to install them. Every leaf that stays out of your gutters stays out of the buried pipe your downspout feeds. For extra protection, we also install Leaf Eater Advanced rain heads, which screen debris before it reaches the pipe.
